Green Lantern First Flight DVD

When it comes to releasing animated movies based on their superhero catalog DC Universe has established quite a name. One of their recent direct-to-DVD movies is for the Green Lantern. The Green Lantern is one of the bigger names in the DC universe but hasn't received a dedicated animated series or movie yet.

This year Green Lantern: First Flight was released, the first animated movie fully dedicated the Green Lantern alone. The DVD is released similar to the other animated movies in a 1-disc version and a 2-disc Special Edition.
The Special Edition comes with a foil based slip cover which is always a nice addition. The first disc contains the movie plus some extra features.

In terms of extras the second disc usually is pretty worthless, and the Green Lantern's second disc is no exception. The 'extras' include a digital copy, one of the most useless 'extras' thinkable. If you have the original movie on a disc, then who's to stop you from making a digital copy yourself?
Also, the documentaries included on the second disc are not that interesting to pay the extra money for. One the things I seriously dislike about the DC Universe's extras is the inclusions of select episode of other properties.
Included in this release are two episodes from the Justice League animated series. There's a very big chance if you got this DVD that you also own the JL series, which makes the inclusion of these two episodes pretty redundant.
