Swat Kats Coming to DVD

The Swat Kats were one of the cooler cartoons from the 90s on Cartoon Network, but haven’t been released on DVD so far sadly.

But TVShowOnDVD is reporting that December 14 WB will finally be releasing the complete series.

The catch is though that it will be Manufacturing on Demand and only available from the WBshop. The WB shop doesn’t ship internationally nor does the news mention it will be available elswhere.

Guess WB leaves me no choice but to download it once it’s available. And the idiotic entertainment industry wonders why so many people download their stuff…

Fiction Meets Reality

Where else than Japan can the following come from, an animated figure giving a live concert via the use of the latest technology.

Holographic presence becomes reality. Holographic messages á la Star Wars doesn’t seem so far now, does it?

Danko Jones at the Melkweg

Last Friday Danko Jones played at the Melkweg in Amsterdam and it was a great night of rock.

Danko Jones’ songs are high tempo rock songs without any subtlety. It’s raw, hard and in your face and the crowd including me loved it.

One of the fun things about live gigs is the merchandise stand. Sometimes overpriced crap is offered, other times real goodies that you won’t find so easily in stores.

For Danko Jones’ gig they had autographed CD and being a merchandise junkie I of course had to get one.
