The first images for the new Thundercats cartoon series have been released at the London Toy fair and of course found its way on the web. Below image is via iO9.

The original Thundercats were already very well animated and anime like and judging from this first image it now looks even more anime style.

Lion-O looks a bit too much like an adolescent and not convincing as a leader. But I’ll have to see the final results to really see if the new series can measure up against the original version.

I’ve finally been back at the drawing board and one of the things I’m currently working on is a new logo for my site.

And what else than a skull can it realistically be The result so far:

Eco friendly superhero Captain Planet is (finally) coming to DVD according to TVShowsOnDVD mid april this year

I actually liked the cartoon because I saw it a another superhero fighting off bad guys.

But the real ‘gimmick’ of course was that Captain Planet along with his juvenile gang of sidekicks called the Planeteers was the first eco friendly superhero in the sense that Captain Planet didn’t fight off traditional villains, but villains who polluted the environment.

And he of course has the coolest haircut with his never-out-of-fashion mullet

A hilarious cartoon clip. Just watch it

Classic cartoon series C.O.P.S. had a DVD release in 2006 which contained most of the episodes but not all.

TVShowsOnDVD reports that Millcreek will be releasing all the episodes in the course of 2011 starting with a first volume release next month already and the cover art is shown below.

No date has been given yet for the final volume containing the missing episodes.

There are quite some cool and creative shirts out there and this definitely belongs in the creative category.

It’s a shirt with a guitar print on it and the ‘guitar’ you can actually play! How cool is that?

It does give a different meaning to ‘touching yourself’.

Later this week a new DC Universe animated series will debut on Cartoon Network, namely Young Justice for which a new trailer is available.

The animation (of course?) looks very impressive and even though it stars the younger versions of well known DC heroes, the style or trailer doesn’t look childish. Can’t wait to see the final result!

Coming May will see Zakk Wylde‘s first book being released and what other than Metal can the book be about?

Knowing Zakk Wylde’s style, it’ll probably be good fun and nothing to be taken too seriously. Looking forward to the release!
