Joe Jusko is an amazing fantasy painter whom I was introduced to via his superhero paintings for Marvel.
In 1992 card maker Skybox released a first ever, namely an all painted series of trading cards featuring superheroes from the Marvel Universe.

As companies like Apple have proven, design matters. Now more than ever and design doesn’t only apply to products itself but also everything else around it, like internal processes at the companies that make the products or the user experience.
But on a direct level the design is immediately visible in the product itself and the package it comes in.
And I ask myself why do some companies take the risk to package their product in butt ugly boxes?

I’m slowly realizing I’m becoming an old fart. The moment the realization kicks in is when you use technology or habits that are dying or even unknown to youngsters nowadays. Sure, since my adolescent there has been 20 years of technological advancement so some things have to change. But old habits die hard.
One such ‘old’ habit is the way I listen to music and especially music albums.
The idea for this article began after reading an article from CMU where they quoted Jon Bon Jovi saying that Steve Jobs killed the music business. Jovi’s argument was that iTunes offers single songs to be sold and people miss out the experience of buying an entire album and be surprised by it.
Let me first start of by saying that Bon Jovi makes sissy music, sucks and has been irrelevant for the last 20 years or so. But nevertheless he does make a few good points about the experience of listening to a music album.

Yes, another one. I can’t count how many series and reincarnations we’ve seen so far.
According to Slashfilm the new series will be shown on Nickelodeon wich means there’s a very big chance it’ll be kiddy version.

Ex-Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr was found dead at age 44. Too young to die, but his bass sound lives on in the Alice in Chains’ classic Dirt album.

After a few weekends of clouds and rain today finally saw some sunshine in the weekend in Rotterdam. An excellent moment to take a wake outside in the morning.

Any spin off or reboot attempt for the classic Looney Tunes is looked at with great skepticism.
When WB announced that a new show starring Bugs Bunny and Daffy was in the works I was very skeptic.
Now the first few video clips have been released and after seeing these all I can say is: WTF?
The design looks ok, but the animation looks like it pre-dates even the original Looney Tunes which is already 60 years old!And what’s up with the dialogue? It looks like two boring old farts talking! Where is the humor and craziness?
Sure, the clips are short and not an entire episode, but this doesn’t look promising.

A first trailer has been spotted for the new animated series of the Thundercats.
Being an 80s kid and loving the original series and amd therefore a bit biased. It looks promising because it’s the Thundercats, but will it be as good as the original?
