SuperHeroHype has a few images and a clip from the new direct-to-DVD Green Lantern animated feature and based on this short clip the animation looks really good.

The first Green Lantern animated movie sucked, but Emerald Knights looks promising again.

Anime News Network and Animated Views are reporting that a new Voltron cartoon will premiere June 16th on Nicktoons.

The new series will pick up right after the ending of events in the original lion force Voltron series from the 80s.

Nicktoons has a streaming clip of the trailer but those idiots have disabled it for viewers outside of the US, bunch of fucking idiots. I hate these kinds of fucking entertainment companies who prevent consumers from viewing their stuff, especially consumers who actually want to buy from them. Well, fuck you Nicktoons!

Thanks to the blessings of the Internet, the trailer is also available on Youtube:

After seeing the trailer I’m a bit shocked in regards to the animation, it looks very amateurish. Nevertheless, the good news is that a new Voltron cartoon is coming soon.

R.I.P. Macho Man Randy Savage

Today professional wrestling lost an icon with the death of Macho Man Randy Savage.

According to TMZ Randy Savage was killed in a car accident.

As a kid I was a big wrestling fan. And though I was more of a Hulk Hogan fan, I also consider Macho Man Randy Savage to be one of the most recognizable and important wrestling figures of the WWF/WWE.

The Macho Man theme:

In the last year and a half I’ve complained quite often about my Sony Vaio laptop because it seriously underperforms, especially taking its high-end specifications into account.

But yesterday was the last straw.

Tintin is on its own a very well known comic hero, and with Steven Spielberg directing and Peter Jackson producing a feature film about this Belgian comic hero from author Hergé anticipation is very high.

After some still images, the first trailer has now been released.

Could this be the first movie where motion capture actually produces a nice movie?

Out of the two barbarian movies coming out this year, Conan the Barbarian has to take a back seat because Ronal the Barbarian is also coming to cinemas this year, and his trailer is simply much more exciting than the boring Conan’s one.

Babes, balls and muscles!

MASK coming to DVD in the US

Eigthies cartoon classic M.A.S.K. was already released on DVD in the UK, but the US is now also getting an official release.

Unlike the UK version the US complete box will NOT include the ‘racing series’, which is a good thing probably because the racing series is just a piece of garbage.

Extras are yet to be announced, but rumours say a featurette about the voice cast is to be included as well as a decal sticker.

Jim Lee is a legendary comic book artist and one of my artistic inspirations when I was in high school.

Icons: The DC Comics & Wildstorm Art of Jim Lee is an art book dedicated to Jim Lee’s run at DC and Wildstorm and (sadly) features none of his Marvel art.

Even though it’s a shame Jim Lee’s Marvel art isn’t included, the book’s still great because at Wildstorm as well as DC Jim Lee did what he does best, namely draw superheroes and heroines in an awesome way.

Conan the Movie 2011

The originality is long gone in Hollywood and nowadays it’s remake after remake.

Having had a movie in the 80s starring Austrian death machine Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan the Barbarian will also get a remake this year.

The biggest pro is that the 2011 version stars uberhottie Rachel Nichols! And I don’t care how bad the movie might be, Rachel Nichols makes every movie worth watching.

The first theatrical trailer has been released and I’m actually looking forward to seeing this.

Dailyblam has the first footage from the new Green Lantern animated TV series debuting this fall.

The Green Lantern animated series will be fully CGI and a first for a DC animated series.

Even though Green Lantern is not one of my favourite characters and I dislike CGI animation, the DC animated universe has built up a very good reputation so I’m willing to give it a shot.
