Every designer knows the color wheel. The folks at Slate have produced an alternative color wheel based on the colors of various cartoon characters.

As we’re getting closer to the premiere of the new Thundercats cartoon series, more footage is being revealed.

Not a very informative or exciting one, but still interesting enough.

After BCI Eclipse went out of business, Mill Creek Entertainment took over the licence for He-man and the Masters of the Universe. And as a follow up to the season 1 release, Mill Creek will release the complete second season on September 13th.

The box art looks nice again, but I’ll stick to my excellent BCI releases.

Classic cat and mouse enemies Tom & Jerry will return to DVD and Blu-Ray in the US on October 25th with remastered Audio and Picture according to TVShowsOnDVD in a Golden Collection with 37 shorts on it.

In the Netherlands we already had an almost complete set being released years ago of which pictures can still be found on my old blog.

Nevertheless I’m curious about this new US release and what extras will be on it. There can never be enough Tom & Jerry shorts!

The Road Runner and Coyote were already transformed to CGI versions with new shorts since decades of these Looney Tunes icons debuting last year.

According to Comingsoon Warner Bros is planning to release more Looney Tunes shorts in CGI format and 3D this. The three new shorts will feature Elmer Fud together with Daffy Duck, Tweety & Sylvester, and another Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote short.

The shorts will also used Mel Blanc’s voice via some previous recording WB discovered.

I really like The Office and in the US version Rainn Wilson plays a very funny role as Dwight Schrute, the ass kissing annoying co-worker.

Rainn Wilson has also co-written a funny and creative book called SoulPancake.

So, a comedy starring Rainn Wilson automatically has my interest. For his newest movie, Super, the intro is fully animated and looks pretty cool as can be seen from the clip below.

And don’t forget the trailer for Super.

Even though lots of classic cartoon series have made their way to DVD by now, there are still some series not available (in all regions) and some releases out of print in the mean while.

Last couple of week TVShowsOnDVD has reported several series getting a new release on DVD .

Yes, another one. I can’t count how many series and reincarnations we’ve seen so far.

According to Slashfilm the new series will be shown on Nickelodeon wich means there’s a very big chance it’ll be kiddy version.

Any spin off or reboot attempt for the classic Looney Tunes is looked at with great skepticism.

When WB announced that a new show starring Bugs Bunny and Daffy was in the works I was very skeptic.

Now the first few video clips have been released and after seeing these all I can say is: WTF?

The design looks ok, but the animation looks like it pre-dates even the original Looney Tunes which is already 60 years old!And what’s up with the dialogue? It looks like two boring old farts talking! Where is the humor and craziness?

Sure, the clips are short and not an entire episode, but this doesn’t look promising.
