It’s common knowledge I like to draw redheaded babes and skulls. So, when I decided to redesign my business card how could I not incorporate these two elements?

Well, I couldn’t So, below are the designs for the front and the back. Only thing left to do, is to send them off to a printer for the hardcopy version.

I’m so used to drawing with a pencil and paper that I sometimes forget how much is also possible with software tools like Illustrator.

I’m currently playing around in Illustrator to design a new character for a new website. I want it to exclaim happiness, so the bright colors are intended Seeing that it’s almost weekend which for most people is probably a joyous moment, I think it’s an appropriate moment to share.

Every designer knows the color wheel. The folks at Slate have produced an alternative color wheel based on the colors of various cartoon characters.

As companies like Apple have proven, design matters. Now more than ever and design doesn’t only apply to products itself but also everything else around it, like internal processes at the companies that make the products or the user experience.

But on a direct level the design is immediately visible in the product itself and the package it comes in.

And I ask myself why do some companies take the risk to package their product in butt ugly boxes?
