THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE

"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat theron to take peace from the earth, and they should kill another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

And when he had opened the seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. ...

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

- REVELATIONS 6

In the chapter Revelations of The Bible, The Four Horsemen are mentioned.

Revelations is probably the most speculative part of The Bible. It is therefore not entirely clear what or who the Four Horsemen are, but they do seem to be the forecast of The Apocalypse - in other words the ultimate battle between Good and Evil and the End of the World as we know it.

THE FOUR HORSEMEN COMIC

The Four Horsemen sounded so interesting that years ago I wanted to make a comic book about them.

My take on the story would be that the Four Horsemen are SATAN's weapon to destroy mankind and bring Hell to Earth.

The prologue to The Four Horsemen story therefore told the tale of SATAN's Fall from Heaven.

The script was almost half done. But other interests and serious time constraints has forced me to postpone the further development of The Four Horsemen indefinitely.

SKETCHES

Even though the script for The Four Horsemen comic was never finished, preliminary sketches were already made of Death, War, Famine and Pestilence.

Some of the sketches date back to 1999.
