28 February 06 - 19:39Daphne in the Brilliant Blue vol. 6
A nice anime with loads of action, humor and little bit of eye candy is what Daphne`s about. Maia Mizuki, through an unfortunate series of events, becomes the newest member of Nereides. A not so secret organization led my big breasted Rena, that will solve any problem for you, if you pay them enough. Nereides also employs other big boobed adreline junkies Shizuka (the technical gal), blond airhead Gloria and aggresive Yu.
It`s not actually a statue, but a PVC model. But it still looks cool anyway! I got this PVC figure a few weeks back and it`s Asuka Langley from the classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Frank Cho is quite an artist, something that has finally been noticed by the bigger publishers. Sadly the result is that now that he`s hired by a big publisher, Cho has little time to devote to his brilliant comic Liberty Meadows.
But fortunately the latest issues of Libert Meadows are now collected in this handsome HC edition that has been released this month! Not only does Frank Cho draw lovely babes, Liberty Meadows is also a very funny comic to read. So there`s actually no reason for you not to buy this book!
I wanted to order Alex Ross` book Mythology(: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross) a couple of months ago, only to find out that is was OOP. I was bummed out of course, because at the time I didn`t know Mythology was about to be re-released with new material, and hence the 1st Mythology book was OOP. I finally did find out that a new edition was being put together. I saw the new release two weeks ago and I ordered it immediately, and yesterday it arrived...
19 February 06 - 19:32Looney Tunes Golden Collection
Even though I`m a huge animation fan, I`m ashamed to admit that I haven`t had Looney Tunes: The Golden Collection in my collection since 2 weeks. I don`t have any excuse for it, I just hadn`t gotten around to get it yet.
13 February 06 - 22:04Bugs haven`t been fixed, but entries are back
I haven`t figured why the fucking thing doesn`t post my latest entries, but I think the problem lies with the new category I had made yesterday for a ' book' section. All entries in that category just didn`t appear, so I reposted them under ' merchandise'. But all seems to be working for the moment. Wonder when the next bug will appear...
While watching the anime Last Exile I got hooked on Range Murata`s art. Murata did the designs for Last Exile, as the packaging art of the dvds shows.
I must admit I haven`t gotten around to see the last 9 episodes of Last Exile (I still need to the last 3 volume :( but I did manage to get some Murata art books.
The Comics go to Hell: A visual History of the Devil in comics. There was a review about this book last year on my site, but I`ve finally gotten around to take pictures. So here you have the review again but this time with a picture :)
Shit, it seems yesterdays and todays entries do appear in my administration index as being published, but don`t show up online. Goddamn fucking machines, if they just did what we tell them do to! I`ll try to fix it before I beat my pc...
I`ve recently received a couple of action figures that I still was missing, and of them is from the Mcarlane Monsters series 2: Twisted Land of OZ. Namely Dorothy`s sweet 'little' Toto.
05 February 06 - 19:29Feyenoord kicks Ajax` ass! Woohoo!
Today Feyenoord beat archrival Ajax in the Kuip with a 3-2 win. This is the second victory this season of Feyenoord over Ajax in the Dutch competition, a rarity the last couple of years sadly. Even though Feyenoord may not win any prices this season, they`ve already made this season worthwhile beating Ajax twice :)
With Monsters series 4 McFarlane Toys has outdone themselves again. Who ever thought that well known fairy tales couldn`t get any more twisted after the Twisted land of Oz series, hasn`t seen the figures from Twisted Fairy Tales yet.
We all know Tim Burton has made some cool movies, with cool but often weird characters. It is therefore not suprising that these little toys come from that same twisted mind that gave us A Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride.
Geneon has released a couple of their anime series in bailey boxes, and I happen to have two of them namely: Chobits box 2 and Last Exile: Flight Pack vol. 1-4. When I bought these boxes I had no idea what a bailey box was.
01 February 06 - 19:48Customs are still fucking assholes
Today I finally got my DVD package that was held hostage by those fuckers from customs. And as a result I received my package over a week too late and also had to pay more than 25% of the actual value of the DVDs for customs fee. And they say Osama is the terrorist, but in reality the fucking government is the real terrorist! Fuck them, bunch of fucking assholes!
