There are a lot of accesoires available for the iPod, most of them entirely useless and overpriced IMO. But the Japanese toy company Takara is going to release a cool accesoire for the iPod later this year, namely a docking station in the form of Optimus Prime! 29 January 07 - 19:12Where are the DVDs and Merchandise?
As some might have noticed it`s been a while since I posted some news and/or pictures about DVDs or merchandise. There are some things lying around the house of which some are not worthy posting. But also, because of the winter I have little decent light to shoot decent photos (and no I don`t a have studio to arrange some professional lighting), so perhaps next weekend I might be able to shoot some stuff again. In the mean while I`ll just bore you with nonsense like this :)
Animation house Production IG is looking for a studio to produce a live action version of the anime classic Ghost in the Shell, reports Variety. Seeing that GitS was one of the inspirations for The Matrix, it might actually be interesting to see a live action version of it.
I was off from work last week, and thus finally had some time to actually do something I like, namely drawing :)
And the result are some more doodles. The last picture is some mouse feeling a little bit stressed out (probably also the way I`m gonna feel when I have to be back at work tomorrow)
Pixar`s animated feature Cars won a Golden Globe yesterday at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Not big of a suprise there IMO. Even though more than a dozen animated features were released last year, only a few were really worthwhile and Cars was one of them. Still hoping traditional animation makes a comeback.
Last month the latest wave of the popular Disney Treasures was released. Amongst the titles this time were the final volume of Pluto and the Silly Symphonies. But on the the UltimateDisney forum Leonard Maltin (animation historicus and initiator of the Treasures line) mentioned that the current wave may be the last wave to be released and that Disney may stop releasing additional waves.
Guess we`ll have to wait for an official announcement from the house of mouse before I really believe they will stop making any ore wave fo the Treasures line. Even though the Treasures Line is very popular amongst animation lovers, Disney has been know to make awkard decisions in regards to releasing certain titles.
Though I drew the first page of my comic story about Satan`s Fall some years ago, it wasn`t until recently (i.e. a week ago) that I actually colored it. Some will probably recognise where I got the inspirations from, and for those who don`t, yes it`s modeled after Gustav Dorè`s famous illustration for Paradise Lost.
07 January 07 - 20:50New Type O Negative Album coming
Type O Negative announced last month the official release date for their new album, titled 'Dead Again', namely March 2006. The track listing along with the cover art are also posted now.
The art is in typical TON fashion, green. There are supposedly only 10 tracks on the album, but the running is still 77 minutes. So it makes me curious to hear what pieces of art Peter & co have made up this time. Just two more months!
Toonzone, in the form of Maxie Zeuss, did a review for Return to the PotA earlier, and to say that it wasn`t a very positive review for the animated show is an understatement.
Looking at the episodes myself I must conclude that even though the review was harsh, in general Toonzone did make a few points.

Rob Zombie announced on his site that a complete boxset containing all songs ever recorded by White Zombie is in the works. No release date or additional info has been given, but it sounds cool nonetheless.
As can be read in my initial post about the Dungeons & Dragons DVD release, I`m quite pleased with the way BCI has released this classic toon. But I was more excited actually watching the episodes again.
