Though it`s (officially) still winter and most of the big music festivals are still months away, line ups are being announced by various festivals the last few days. One of the more interesting festivals this year may be Fields of Rock. Why you ask me? Because Type O Negative will be playing on the Saturday! And along TON, Black Label Society will also be present. I know what I`ll be doing that weekend :)
FantoFan posted a couple of more images from various Transformers goodies to be released in the next couple of months. Highlight is of course the Megatron Masterpiece, but the Revoltech version also looks very cool (even though it can`t actually transform).
But what got my attention was the Sports label line. And like the name suggests it indeed features the Transformers in sportsgear, litterally! Imagine Nike shoes that can transform...Well, in a few months you`ll actually be able to own one! It just doesn`t mention if it will make you run faster...
Last Monday the 3rd trailer for the upcoming Simpsons Movie went live, this time revealing more info about the story. Though the quality of the series seems to be declining according to some people, the Movie still looks promissing.
Worth1000.com hosted a contest where people were challenged to show their Photoshop skills by merging cartoon characters with classic paintings. You can check out the gallery over here. I don`t know who actually won, but there sure are a lot of funny entries.
The 2nd Shrek trailer for Shrek 3 is up and running om the official Shrek site. Though I`m not that big a fan of CGI movies, and also not of Shrek, I must admit the trailer does look promissing. Just 3 more months to go to the premiere.
Earlier this week I was somewhat bored, so I did what any other guy would with internet access: I just searched the internet looking for naked chicks :) Looking at them I did get some inspiration to make some sketches, and as a result these two lovely doodles emerged.
12 February 07 - 19:55Toy Story 3 is indeed coming
In an article in Variety John Lasseter reveiled that Toy Story 3 is indeed coming, and will probably hit the big screen in 2009. I think I`m one of the few people who actually isn`t that impressed by Pixar.
Sure Pixar made a few good movies, but IMO only The Incredibles and A Bug`s Life were worthy of the praise. Visually Finding Nemo is one of the best animated features, but other than that the content is nice but not a masterpiece nor a classic as some claim.
But the lamest movie to come out from the Pixar Studio thus far is without a doubt the Toy Story franchise, and thus I really can`t believe it`s going get another sequel. I don`t get what people find so compelling about Toy Story. I couldn`t stand to watch TS 2 and after 20 minutes I just turned the damn thing off because it was so fucking boring.
I honestly hope Toy Story 3 will bomb, and takes the whole TS franchise down the drain.

Just saw this picture of the upcoming Megatron Masterpiece from Takara (thanks to tfw2005.com), and it`s in color now.
Megs still looks cool and I think it`s one of the most anticipated toys of the year, in general, but especially for TF fans. With the live action movie also coming this year, it seems 2007 may the year of the Transformers.
This week it was definitely decided by the highest sports court that Feyenoord will indeed be excluded from the UEFA cup tournament, thanks to a few retarded morons.
I found the following clip very fitting for this occasion, again thanks to Fabchannel.
To celebrate the landmark 100th issue of Ultimate Spider-man, 100 unique covers were created by several top artists in the industry. And these were litterally unique covers, because each cover was actually sketched! At Comixfan all the covers ca be seen. One of the most compelling is of course the cover by Todd McFarlane, though I must admit liking the Campbell, Cho, Romita and Linsner ones the best.
The main reason I watched the anime Last Exile is due to Murata`s involvement and character designs. The anime finished a few years back, but occasionally new merchandise pops up, and one of the latest are mini busts of the main characters by Alter.
One of the things I wanted for a very long time, has been to play guitar. I never really had a good reason not do it (other than the lack of money :). but somehow I never seriously pursued that desire.
But this weekend I finally took that step and bought my very first guitar!
On his own website Frank Welker (aka Megatron in the original Transformers cartoon) - one of the best toon voice actors - hints at a possible new Transformers cartoon. No other information is revealed, but if the Movie turns out to be succesful, I have no doubt that a new serie will be made.
