The first trailer of the new CGI Clone Wars serie has been posted at StarWars.com. Can't say that it looks good. The traditionally animated 1st Clone Wars series looked much better and had much more appeal. This just looks like crap. But fortunately I'm not that big a SW fan, so I can just skip it
According to Variety there may again be new plans for a live action He-man Movie. Since I'm still a fan of the original cartoon, so I truly hope a movie gets made, just as long as it doesn't suck like the last one or the later cartoon incarnations.
The final trailer for the Transformers Movie also went live this week. Still not crazy about the design (they just look too messy and over detailed), but I`m still anxious to see the movie.
Disney posted a 9 minute preview of their upcoming CGI animated feature Ratatouille. The animation look stunning thus far, but seeing that it is Pixar, it's not that suprising.
TVShowsOnDVD posted info about the upcoming release of 80s favorite Bravestarr on DVD. It will be a best of set, followed by a complete box set later on, in the likes of He-man and She-ra.
Growing up in the 80s, I used to watch a lot of TV and especially a lot of cartoons. And even though looking back, I realize that some of those shows suck, I still have fond memories of them. And I honestly believe the toons from the 80s are still better than the majority of the toons from the 90s or nowadays (with a few exceptions of course).
One of those 80s toons is the Get A Long Gang, a feel good kiddy cartoon. I`d probably burn it to the ground if a similar show were to be shown on TV nowadays, because it was just so sweet and positive that you may want to puke as an adult. But as kid I used to enjoy it (not the puking, but the show). TVShowsOnDVD reports that a complete series box will be released on DVD this September, which will be a first for this cartoon.
