The new CGI movie Beaowulf has it's first trailer online. Though it's looks visually stunning, I don't get what the added value is of making this film as a CG film instead of a regular live-action film. Thus far all similar attemps have (financially) failed, and I don't see any reason yet why this one will have success.
For their latest album, Christ Illusion, Slayer apparently forgot to include a song. With the rerelease of that album, they're gonna include that song - The Final Six - as a bonus track. On their MySpace page you can already listen to the new song. The rerelease of Christ Illusion is planned for the 24th of July. It's not known when it will be released here in Europe.
TVShowsOnDVD reports that a complete set for Family Guy is in the make. And it won't be just a complete set, but a complete collection gift set! Included in the gift set (conveniently called The Freakin' Party Pack) will be playing cards, poker chips and a ping pong set. Don't know how they're related, but it sounds cool
And to keep in the Family Guy mood, here's another fun clip. I know the scene is horribily wrong and incestuous. But come on, which guy didn't imagine those two actually doing just that :)
As expected WB announced the released of the 5th volume of the very succesful (and highly appreciated) Looney Tunes Golden Collection, collecting another 60 classic toons. TVShowsOnDVD has posted some preliminary info and cover art.
McFarlane is known for it's highly detailed and cool toys. And especially the Monsters and Twisted series are very cool. Coming October the next series in this line will be available, this time putting a twist on Christmas.
At Spawn.com the figures and accompanying photos have been put online. Looking at the pics I must say it looks a bit disappointing and not nearly as good as the twisted Fairytales series. The only cool fig is Mrs. Santa (for obvious reasons :). Think I'll just skip this series, also better for my wallet.
According to He-man.org the latest He-man animated series, which debuted in 2002, will likely come to DVD. The official word came from Mattel, so it's no rumour. No release date has been set though.
