I grew up with the live action Hulk series starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferigno in the 80s and the cartoon series from the 80s. And I didn’t mind reading a Hulk comic book. So, each time a Hulk movie is announced I’m quite curious to see the result.
Some combinations work better than others, and some are so natural they are iconic. One such combination is the Marshall amp together with a Gibson guitar. The Gibson guitar I already had.
I’m an animation fan but I usually don’t discuss Disney on my site. For Wall-e I’ll make an exception because he’s too cool to be ignored. I generally prefer traditionally animated movies over CGI movies – even those from Pixar. But I must say Wall-e is one of the finest animated movies ever made. I’m not going to tell you why, you just have to see the movie.
One of the cooler pieces of merchandise released for Wall-e is this dancing Wall-e. It has two dancing modes. One mode plays a default music tune and Wall-e dances to it. The other one is if you plug a MP3 player to Wall-e and play songs from your MP3 player. Wall-e then automatically dances to the songs.
20 December 08 - 19:56Another one bites the dust :(
Navarre announced this week that it would be closing it's subsidiary BCI Eclipse due to poor sales and the economic recession. BCI Eclipse is well known for releasing some classic Filmation cartoons on DVD like He-man, She-ra, Bravestarr and many more. I really liked BCI's releases and it's sad to see the company being closed. Navarre will hold the rights to the various cartoon shows, but it is unknown what will happen to them.
14 December 08 - 18:29New Lacuna Coil and Megadeth album
Metalfan.nl (a Dutch heavy metal site) reports that Lacuna Coil is currently working on a new CD, scheduled to be released spring 2009. The new album will be called Shallow Life.
Oldies Megadeth are also working on a new album which is planned to be released somewhere next year.
After 17 years of waiting we finally saw the actual release of the long awaited new Guns 'n Roses album Chinese Democracy. And was it worth the wait? Well, not really. Expectations weren't really high, mainly due to the departure of practically the whole band that GnR used to be including defining people like Izzy Stradlin and of course Guitar god Slash. But even though expectations weren't high, it's still sad to conclude that the new album sucks in comparisson to the previous GnR stuff.
And that's the main problem with the new album. There is no way people will not compare it to Appetite for Destruction or the Use Your Illusion albums. If Axl Rose had put his own name on the album instead of GnR, people may have evaluated the album more objectively and not compared it to the old GnR stuff. But now it's just a sad, sad attempt and an insult to the GnR name.
For the few people who actually like it, next week een special edition will be released. The box will contain some GnR merchandise and of course the CD with a new cover if we are to believe the promo pics.
Gotham Knight is a nice release for DVD fans, so I was pretty happy with the DVD. Real Batman fans will probably also enjoy this release because it offers a new view to the Batman saga. So, if you’re a DVD fan or a Batman fan, you’ll probably be happy with this release.

DVDactive reports that a new DC Universe animated feature will be coming on DVD March 2008, this time featuring Wonder Woman. Looking at the trailer it seems the makers will base the style on JLU. As long as it doesn't suck like JL Final Frontier, I'm in for it.
To cash in on the new Batman movie (Dark Knight) work was done on a new direct-to-DVD animated feature. Not in the style of Batman TAS, but instead various famous anime directors would work on this project each bringing their own style for old Bats.
